Take a step back and check what we’ve missed in 2020
Yacht sales and yacht charter market have been highly impacted by the corona virus situation, primarily due to travel restrictions. We had clients and yacht owners eager to spend time on a yacht, but were unable to do so due to travel regulations (flight cancelations or quarantine regulations). This “pause” has given us all the opportunity to take a step back, reflect and evaluate what matters to us the most. Professionally, this pause has ‘forced’ us to analyze and rethink how we can create more value for our guests and yacht owners.
Yacht owners and guests who were lucky enough to vacation in 2020 on the Adriatic Sea, experienced the Mediterranean as it once was. These unprecendentant times gave the opportunity to truly enjoy the beauty, peacefulness and magic of the yachting experience.
As the situation around coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, we are doing everything we can to provide maximum flexibility. We understand how important it is to remain aware because the facts are constantly changing, be agile and ready to act when the time is right.
In the situation that is extremely unpredictable and there is no niche for planning, Ocean Sailing House offers reliability and security. Yacht charter contracts now include
C -19 Health Emergency Clause

For sake of clarity, neither the Charterer nor the Owner will have any liability in case of rescheduling/cancellation under this clause. In the case of Owner or Charterer cancellation, due to COVID-19, all monies paid by the Charterer will be returned to the Charterer
- a) A RESCHEDULING ADDENDUM with the new charter period is a one-time offer and must be signed within 21 days of the notification of intent to reschedule and new allowable dates must be within one (1) year of the initial charter date
- b) Should the notice to reschedule be issued prior to the final balance due of the original charter, the installation date will be adjusted to 30 days prior to the rescheduled charter period and confirmed on the RESCHEDULING ADDENDUM
- c) The location of the rescheduled charter shall be subject to the Vessel’s schedule and availability. The duration of the rescheduled charter shall remain unchanged
- d) In the case of Owner or Charterer cancellation, due to COVID-19, the contract will be deemed null and void releasing Owner of liquidated damages including Broker Commissions. All monies paid by the Charterer will be returned to the Charterer.
Plan a stress-free vacation for summer 2021
Remind yourself that at least once a year one needs to turn the world off, relax and enjoy life with people that matter to you the most. Vacationing on a yacht is ideal, especially given the circumstances – you can still socially distance on a yacht while accessing beautiful destinations in a private, sanitary environment
